A simple process, built around student needs

Some students come to Launch full-time. Others take one course, recover credit, or enroll through a district partner. No matter the path, students and families are guided through the process and supported along the way.

Step 1: Determine the path that best fits your needs

Launch offers more than one way to learn. Students may enroll full-time, take individual courses, access summer learning, recover credit, or participate through a district partnership.

The right fit depends on grade level, schedule, academic goals, and local school context. That is why Launch is built to offer options rather than a one-size-fits-all model.

Common paths include:

  • full-time virtual learning
  • individual middle or high school courses
  • credit recovery
  • advanced coursework

Step 2: Enroll and build a plan

Once a student determines what learning best fits their lifestyle, the next step is enrolling. Our Launch counseling staff is here to help! If enrolling through a school district, students will work with an appointed Launch liaison at the partnering school.

Step 3: Learn with Launch

Once enrolled, students begin learning with certified teachers. Elementary students participate in structed daily learning and live instruction, and secondary students may have live or asynchronous courses. Across all grade levels, Launch students are expected to stay engaged, complete work and participate on a consistent basis.

Step 4: Stay connected and supported

Support is built into the experience. Students receive instruction and feedback from teachers, and families have ways to stay informed about progress, expectations and communication.

Launch also offers broader support services that help students stay on track. Depending on the student and program, that may include counseling, gifted services, special education support and other forms of guidance.

What a typical learning experience can include

Virtual learning at Launch is flexible and connected. Real teachers, clear expectations and a strong support system help students succeed.

Live Daily Lessons

Many courses include scheduled teacher-led instruction that helps students stay connected and engaged.

Independent work time

Students also complete assignments, projects, and practice on their own schedule within course expectations.

Progress monitoring

Teachers and support staff help students track progress and address concerns early.

Family communication

Families are part of the support system and are encouraged to engage with their child's learning.

What families can expect

Launch is flexible, but it still requires participation, communication, and follow-through. Students are expected to engage in learning each day and attend live lessons when their program requires it.

Families can expect structure, support, and clear communication. They can also expect Launch to take student progress seriously and step in when a learner needs help getting back on track.

Built for different grades and goals

The Launch experience is shaped by grade level and student need. Younger students usually need a more structured daily rhythm. Older students may have more scheduling flexibility, a wider range of course options, and specialized pathways like dual credit, credit recovery, or career-connected learning.

That flexibility is part of what makes Launch work for so many different students across Missouri.

See whether Launch is the right fit

Now that you know how it works, the next question is why so many families and districts choose Launch in the first place.
