Please read the following
important information regarding State Testing, and confirm that you are aware of the following key points:
Students who are enrolled full-time in Launch Virtual Learning are
required by state law to complete all required state assessments annually. There is no waiver for state testing.
Assessments must be given to students in a
seated environment and proctored by Launch staff.
High School students who do not participate in state testing as required will not earn credit in the course.
Students in grades 3-8 who do not participate in state testing will be removed from Launch programming and cannot re-enroll the next academic year.
Guardians will be provided with
testing hub locations where tests are administered and a specific date. Guardians may choose the testing location that works best for their child.
Guardians are responsible for transporting students to and from testing locations.
Students should bring their
Launch-issued Chromebook to testing fully charged. If a Launch-issued device was not provided, a loaner will be provided for the purpose of testing.
bring a lunch to testing when multiple tests are required in a single setting. If families cannot provide a lunch, one will be provided to the student if requested during the RSVP process. Snacks and water will also be provided.
Headphones are required for ELA testing. Students may use Bluetooth or wired headphones.
Students will be required to turn off and place cellphones in a secure location during testing. Students should not wear smart watches or bring handheld gaming devices.
Guardians will not be allowed in the testing room at any time and should prepare to drop off their child for testing.
Guardian waiting areas will not be provided.
All tests will begin promptly at the scheduled time and will conclude no later than 3:30. Students may begin arriving 30 minutes prior to testing. Students should be picked-up within 30 minutes of test completion or no later than 4:00 pm.
Students who receive special education services and have an IEP will have appropriate accommodations and modifications provided at the testing location.
