Launch offers gifted education services to full-time virtual students who qualify for gifted programming and may not have gifted services offered in their home district.

Gifted Services

Launch offers gifted education services to full-time virtual students who qualify for gifted programming. Students must have the state-recommended IQ score at or above the 95th percentile on an individual intelligence test. All courses are taught by teachers certified in gifted education. Courses include 160 minutes per week of instruction and incorporate lessons in affective development and thinking skills. Gifted courses are offered to students in grades 1-8. Students to do have to be full time Launch students to participate in gifted services. Students can qualify through their district, they can be enrolled part time in the gifted course, or as a full time Launch student. Partner enrolled students can qualify through their district of residence. SPS and MOCAP students can also qualify through Springfield Public Schools Phelps Center for Gifted Education in Springfield.
