Teacher Q&A: Bethany Kelly

Bethany Kelly, a Springfield Public Schools teacher who teaches Launch’s Fine Arts Appreciation: Visual Art course, shares her favorite things about teaching for Launch.

What is your favorite thing about teaching for Launch?
I love the flexibility that Launch gives to students and teachers. It makes learning more accessible and is helping to level the playing field across the state of Missouri by allowing students access to classes that may not be offered in their home school.

What does Launch provide that cannot be found anywhere else, or at least with other online providers?
Launch provides the ability to build relationships. The teachers and people working behind the scenes are all committed to creating a sense of belonging for students, even if they are hundreds of miles away.

Is there anything else you’d like to add? 
I am excited that Launch is going to allow me to write an AP Art class for them this year! I have so many ideas for the class due to my Master’s program in Online Learning with Mizzou!!
