Integrated Science (CRC only)
This is a first-year course for high school students that is anchored by real-world phenomena to encourage an attitude of curiosity about the world. Students build understanding by connecting ideas and questions to the phenomenon. With their classroom community, students use evidence and investigations to build new science ideas. Problem solving, data analysis, scientific argumentation (Claim, Evidence, Reasoning), lab skills, and written and verbal communication skills are emphasized. Physical Science (Physics and Chemistry), Biology, Earth Science, and Engineering, Technology and Application of Science standards are integrated in each unit.
