Art Foundations
This beginning class includes the study of a wide range of fine art, craft and commercial art forms. The course introduces the elements of art, the principles of design and relationship of the visual arts to daily living. The course is designed to explore fundamental art processes, teach basic art skills, develop the student’s art vocabulary, and survey historical and cultural art concepts. It fulfills the fine arts graduation requirements while providing a foundation for the student who wishes to pursue art in depth. Art Foundations is a prerequisite for all other visual arts courses.
