ELD Personal Finance
Sheltered Personal Finance provides English Language Learners (ELs) with essential knowledge and skills to understand and manage personal finances while improving their English language abilities in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Designed for ELs scoring 3 or below on the WIDA Screener or ACCESS, the course aligns with Missouri Personal Finance Competencies. Students will explore how financial choices impact career options and future earning potential, using decision-making skills to evaluate careers and set personal goals. The course covers wise spending, saving, credit use, and income management to achieve financial success. Prerequisite: Placement verified by ELD Specialist. Dual credit and/or articulated credit may be available.
