Hosted as separate virtual events for middle and high school students, the ceremonies honored Launch’s newest NHS and NJHS members—students who exemplify the core pillars of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. For NJHS members, citizenship is also a foundational value.

“Membership in NHS and NJHS isn’t just an honor; it’s a responsibility,” says Dr. Nichole Lemmon, Director of Launch Virtual Learning. “Our students have demonstrated a commitment to their communities, their learning, and their personal growth. It’s an incredible achievement—especially in a virtual environment.”

Each induction included a brief overview of the society’s history and purpose, a presentation of the five pillars, and the ceremonial pledge, which inductees recited from their homes as their names were recognized on screen. Family members and Launch staff joined in virtually to cheer on students and celebrate their accomplishments.

The new inductees were selected through a rigorous application process. Students were invited to apply based on academic eligibility, and each application was reviewed by a faculty panel that evaluated their leadership, service, and overall character.

For Launch’s full-time virtual students, NHS and NJHS offer a valuable opportunity to engage in meaningful service projects and connect with peers through leadership roles—all while learning remotely. “These students are leaders in their schools, their communities, and in our virtual learning environment,” says Dr. Lemmon. “We can’t wait to see what they accomplish next.” Congratulations to all our 2025 inductees!
