Launch offers live learning differently by division: full-time live instruction for elementary students, and live course options for grades 6–12 in core content areas.

At Launch, live instruction is designed to match student age and learning needs.

For elementary students, live instruction is the standard learning model. For grades 6–12, Launch Live gives students access to real-time lessons in selected core courses.

Elementary

Full-time live instruction for K–5

All elementary students learn through full-time live instruction. There is not a non-live option for elementary learning.

What that means for families:

  • students join live classes every school day
  • core learning happens with a teacher in real time
  • students get structure, consistency, and direct support throughout the week

Why it works

Younger learners benefit from a steady routine, immediate teacher guidance, and a classroom experience that keeps them connected and supported.

Middle School

Launch Live for selected 6–8 core courses

For middle school students, Launch Live is available in core content areas as a live-course option.

What to expect:

  • real-time lessons in selected subjects
  • a schedule that supports more independence than elementary
  • live teacher connection without making every course live
  • a format that works well for students ready for more self-management

Why it matters:

Middle school students are building organization, responsibility, and study habits — so the live model still matters, but it should feel more age-appropriate and flexible than elementary.

High School

Live instruction for core credit-bearing courses

For high school students, Launch Live supports core content areas through scheduled real-time lessons.

What to expect:

  • live lessons in selected core courses
  • a course-based model with more student responsibility
  • a format that supports credit progress and academic momentum
  • a structure that works for students balancing independence with teacher support

Why it matters:

High school live instruction should feel more focused on course completion, academic accountability, and readiness for graduation or next steps.

What families should know

  • Live classes have limited seats in some cases
  • Some grades and courses have asynchronous alternatives
  • Students enrolled in live courses are expected to attend regularly
  • Families should expect a real teacher-led experience, not self-paced-only learning
