Course Options for Grades 6–8

A Flexible Middle School Schedule Starts Here
Some students need a complete virtual middle school experience. Others need one class, a live core option, or access to a specific support service. Launch makes room for both.
Middle school students can enroll full time or per course, with most classes offered asynchronously and live options available in core subjects. Full-time students typically take six or seven courses, depending on their schedule and needs.

Full-Time or Just One Course
Launch middle school works for families who want a full virtual schedule and for those who only need a single course. That flexibility matters. Some students are looking for a full-time online environment, while others are solving a specific scheduling need, getting extra support, or taking a course their local setting may not offer.
Middle School Enrollment Options
- Full-time enrollment
- Per-course enrollment
- Typical full-time load: 6 or 7 courses
- Live and asynchronous formats

Need More Real-Time Instruction?
For students who do better with more routine, direct teaching, and regular face-to-face connection, Launch Live options are available in middle school core subjects.
Launch Live middle school offerings include:
- English language arts
- math
- science
- social studies

Choose the Right Mix for Your Student
Not every student needs the same kind of schedule. Some need a strong core schedule with flexible pacing. Some need live instruction in key subjects. Some need room for electives, world language, or a support service that helps them succeed.
That’s the value of the Launch model at the middle school level: families can look at the student first, then build the course plan around that need.
